Exam and Test Center Information

The ACTION Certification CPT exam is NCCA Accredited and available online with Examity Live Proctoring.

Exam Details
There are 130 multiple choice questions (100 scored and up to 30 non-scored research questions).
You have 2.5 hours to complete the exam.
You must get 72% or more to pass the exam.

Immediately after completing the exam on the Examity testing platform, candidates will be able to access their score report. Score reports will include the exam score with a pass/fail indication.

Candidate exam results are confidential and will be released only to the candidate, unless authorization signed release is provided in writing by the individual or release is required by law.

If you fail the exam, you must wait 90 days before taking the exam again. Examity will charge you their $99 proctor fee each time you take the exam so make sure you are prepared.

A valid CPR and AED certificate earned through an in-person program is mandatory to be uploaded.

Scheduling an Exam

Once approved to take the ACTION-CPT exam, candidates will receive an email from Examity asking them to complete the setup of their testing account. Once logged into the Examity platform, candidates may schedule their exam.

There are no exam deadlines, however, the exam must be taken within one year of application approval. Exam appointments are available Monday–Saturday.



Identification Requirements

Candidates must provide one (1) form of identification (see list below). Candidates must register for the exam with their LEGAL first and last name as it appears on their government issued identification.

All required identification below must match the first and last name under which the candidate is registered.

Acceptable forms of primary identification if testing within the US:
• State issued driver’s license
• State issued identification card
• US Government Issued Passport
• US Government Issued Military Identification Card
• US Government Issued Alien Registration Card


Test Center Rules

The following rules will be enforced on exam day:

• Clear your desk and the surrounding area

• Stay connected to a power source

• No phones or headphones

• No dual monitors

• No leaving your seat

• You must be alone in the room

• No Talking

• You must stay in view of the webcam for the duration of the test

• Your webcam, speakers, and microphone must remain on throughout the test

• BREAKS: You are NOT allowed to leave your seat during the exam to avail a break. Leaving your seat will lead to exam termination.

• TASK MANAGER: You MUST show the proctor that no other software or applications are running. Please end all tasks not related to the exam.

• ROOM PAN: You must show ALL cables connected to your computer. The only cables allowed are power supply, internet connection and keyboard/mouse.

• ROOM PAN: You must show your computer screen to the proctor and the bottom of your laptop and your keyboard. You can do so by using a mirror, reflective surface, smartphone camera, or an external webcam.

• ROOM PAN: You must show the proctor that your phone is placed behind you and is outside of your arms reach.

• TESTING BEHAVIOR: If the proctor observes any suspicious or unauthorized behavior they will notify you. Failure to follow proctor instructions may result your exam being terminated.

• DISCONNECTION: If you are disconnected from this session for any reason, please check for a disconnection email that contains instructions on how to reconnect. You must NOT continue with the exam if you are disconnected from the proctor. If you are unable to reconnect, contact Examity Support and we will assist you with next steps.

Copying or communicating examination content is a violation of ACTION policy, Examity security policy, and State Law. Either one may result in the disqualification of examination results and may lead to legal action.

Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the exam. Late arrivals may not be accommodated. Fees are not refunded for missed exam appointments.

Rescheduling and Cancellations of exam

You may cancel and reschedule an examination appointment without forfeiting your fee if your cancellation notice is received 2 days before the scheduled examination date. If less than 2 days notice is given your exam fee may not be refundable. Contact Examity for details.

MISSED APPOINTMENT OR LATE CANCELLATION

Your registration will be invalid, you will not be able to take the examination as scheduled, and you will forfeit your examination fee, if you:

Do not cancel your appointment 2 days before the schedule examination date; Do not appear for your examination appointment; Arrive after examination start time; Do not present proper identification when you arrive for the examination. ACTION Certification has no influence over these policies or the fees charged by Examity. We recommend you visit the Examity web site to review all of their policies.
